MITU has designed many useful products like a variety of bags of different sizes and uses, mobile and coin pouches, tambula bags, gift envelopes etc., all of which are made from old clothes like sarees , dupattas, curtains, ,surplus furnishing catalogues, newspapers etc. MITU provides training to women to make all these products, whether working from their homes or in the MITU office. This activity serves as a source of supplementary income for the women.

It conducts awareness sessions on the ill-effects of plastic on our environment. Plastic thrown into landfills or just strewn around for someone else to pick up and dispose. These products are sold by our volunteers and staff to shoppers in fairs and exhibitions at many venues like Chitrkala Parishad, apartment complexes and offices. They are also available in the MITU office.
